The impactor MMAD, GSD calculator presented below has been developed at the Aerosol Research Laboratory of Alberta (ARLA) at the University of Alberta to help in calculating aerosol mass median aerodynamic diameter and geometric standard deviation from the mass distribution found on impactor plates. Supported impactors include the Next Generation Impactor operating at 30 or 60 L/min and the Andersen impactor operating at 28.3 L/min.

This calculator is implemented as a Mathematica Player notebook. In order to use this notebook you must install the free Mathematica Player version 6.0.2.1 or newer which is available from Wolfram. Once this the player is installed on your computer right click on the link below (ctrl-click if you are using a one button mouse) to save the notebook. Open the notebook in Mathematica Player to use the calculator.
