CFD for Industry is a short course that aims at training industry professionals in the proper use of Computational Fluid Dynamics software. It focuses on many practical aspects of the numerical solution procedure and includes hands-on practice sessions with OpenFOAM.

Congratulations to the AlbertaSat Student Team for completing the assembly and tests of the first satellite built in Alberta, Ex-Alta 1. The Team is on track to launch their cube satellite, which measures 10 x 10 x 30 cm, into orbit as part of the QB50 constellation of nano-satellites at the end of 2016. The UAlberta students are pioneering a new chapter in space exploration in our province. They have even formed a company of their own, Promethean Labs, starting Alberta’s first space venture.
